The Further Adventures of A Lucky Dog, is our most recent book illustration project. We worked with a wonderful author, Dirk Wales, a man with tender guidance, who allowed us to fulfill our vision. We really got to know Owney, the star, and Lucky Dog of the book. By drawing his adventures we were introduced to his world, his life, his feelings, his thinking. It was an exciting adventure for us as much as the living of the events must have been for him. My wife, Catherine, and I worked together on this book. She created the line work and I created the color and layout. It was fun and rewarding... sometimes difficult. Sometimes leading to a soultion which neither of us expected.
We are all the better for it.
